Good morning. Memory can be tricky at times when we need it not to be. I constantly write things down when they're on my mind so I won't forget. The strange thing is that I can remember something from twenty years ago, but I lose track of what I did three days ago.

Re: Re: TAPS

I figured you are no stranger to those meds but I mentioned it anyway. I think you are doing just fine as you are.Open-mouthed smile

Re: Sea_Gypsy.....

Thank you Sweetie.   I love getting a real, amazingly good and helpful answer.  Since I am a retired Nurse that worked for years in that field, I am aware of these medicines  and the good they can do for some people.  I am not averse to taking prescribed medicines for Alzheimer's but at this time of my life I'm having fun using Artificial Intelligence to assist me when I need help or just going in the closet, closing  the door, and yelling "WHAT!" really loudly.  It shocks what is stuck in my brain out into the point of using it properly.

TAPS

There are medications available you might consider looking into. My daughter’s MIL has been on one for a few years and it has allowed her to remain stable. They are:cholinesterase inhibitors like Donepezil (Aricept), Rivastigmine (Exelon), or Galantamine.

Do think about it!

Actually, other than a downcast face, I'm a pretty patient person.   I am aware that these things happen at my age and I patiently try the "honey & cinnamon trick" because I don't really trust it.    They want to make a lot of money by people who will try anything to cure their Alzheimer's and other old age problems.   So, I'm smiling.  But an over-the-hill great-grandma has to  have something to  write about.

I think the first thing is to be good to yourself. At times when we press for information we've stored we end up confusing the brain. Just insert the floppy disc, so to speak, and up load the info you need. Lol Just kidding to help lighten the frustration!

Good Evening

Taps, I have a way of remembering things that I've forgotten, and I will share it with you.  If I've forgotten something, I will put it on the back burner and come back to it later.  I almost always remember it at a later date.
