Sea Gypsy, I do hope you have a fun 4th of July. It's so hot here that there's no way I could plan a barbecue for the family. I'm not sure what we are doing. They are saying that with this heat, fireworks are dangerous. I hope you have a good day!

It is just too hot there for anyone! I hope it cools down. No, one can’t grill effectively in that heat. We have no plans yet. I think we will wait and see. If it’s clear out we will be able to watch a few shows from our yard. We’ll see, pardon the pun.

BearcatMike, we don't have sidewalks. We live in a country community. Our driveway is gravel. We always walk Sadie in the grass, but she just can't handle the heat. I think tomorrow we are going to take her to camp. She never goes on Friday, but with this heat, I want her to be somewhere cool, and she can play with her friends. We took her to the Spa and got her hair cut, but she still has fur, and I know that makes her hot too. I hope you are staying cool. Have a good night.

It is hot all over the country. 107 will be one of the highest. This is a great day to stay cool. I was looking at the news today. They said that you should not walk your dog on hot surfaces like concrete and asphalt. It actually burns their paws. They recommend exercising your pets inside or on grass.

Good morning. I read something about the extreme heat affecting the power grids, which can result in electric outages. We could definitely use some cool, rainy days. It is sweet that Sadie is a social butterfly. She is such a pretty girl. They are for sure social pups. I hope you enjoy your day. I found this link with a picture of a dog that looks like Sadie.
