Yes some have been in over ten years. You can guess the size of the tubers. Mild Winters and good drainage see them through and we usually plonk a few new tubers in .
Our main worry is water supply, I wish we had a little stream gently bubbling. 🌺

They say the extreme heat is due to a 'heat dome' over Europe--here's hoping it is dissipating by now. We had that condition over the US a few weeks ago. It plays havoc with everyone and everything! A wet towel folded up and laid over the neck and shoulders can be helpful.

You leave your dahlias in the ground through winter. When I lived in Northern Michigan I had to dig them up, dry them, store in a cool dry place. So sorry you are dealing with high heat!Â
