I like most fish but shark and eel are not something I care for that much. Halibut and crab, along with shrimp are probably my favorites. My mom could make sole taste great, something that's not an easy task when baking it. Monkfish is nice but hard to find.

When my sons were young they would fish the creek thst ran through our property. The freezer was alway filled with salmon. My favorites are red snapper, white fish, trout and tuna.

Good Evening
Ciel, I love catfish. When we lived in Arkansas, we had white albino catfish. So tender and good! I hope you have a good night.

Re: Re: Amanda,
I finally learned how to cook swordfish so it's succulent instead of dry. I press it with the fork when it goes into the pan, then again until it gives just a little. When it doesn't give, it's overcooked!

Growing up, after we moved out west to Oregon, it seemed like we had steak, roast, or pork chops almost every night for dinner. My mom was big on fried potatoes and onions, too. I grew up eating crab and shrimp as well, since we lived in Maryland and Delaware, where it was fresh. I love a good kosher tuna salad with dill weed, garlic & onion powder, and relish, and I prefer white fish like cod, tilapia, and halibut.
