I agree. Yet it is human to hate rejection. I guess the best lesson is not allowing it to affect your future. Just a bump in the road to the success you will achieve.

Good Evening
FSI, I like the thought that if you didn't get accepted at a college, it was their loss. I believe everyone has something to offer, but I suppose it just depends on the college's guidelines. I'm a big fan of starting out at a community college. I believe most of the credits are transferable, and it's less expensive for families. I hope you have a good evening. When we are young we lack experience and see the world through our eyes only. I believe in the beginning of your post I like to think it was about confidence when applying to schools.

It’s a stressful time for high schoolers. Now that my grandkids are about done with college they are bringing back the SATs and ACTs maybe. They took them way back and did really well but it didn’t matter much. A shame for them in a way.

Rejection is never favorable, especially when you have worked hard for such a long period of time. The biggest college issue that my family has come across is debt. I attended an affordable community college, while my little brother had college debt for several years after receiving his master's, even though he was awarded two separate scholarships. 🎓
