- Go to George Bernard Shaw’s Arms and the Man - Anti Romantic Comedy
Re: Sis Sea and Sherri G,
GBS here actually refutes the concept of idealization of war though the logic of anti-romanticism. He subverts romantic conventions by contrasting theatrical idealism with cold, practical reality. Shaw asserts that true courage, heroism, and affection are rooted in practical reality and authenticity rather than the artificial, grandiose myths of society.

Ah, but a moment of the reality of a true romance is wonderful!
However, war - no, it has no romance at all. Something else though; honor, bravery, perhaps!
One needs to be able to distinguish the difference between reality and fantasy. Still, people do tend to live in their own real reality, which may differ from mine. But that’s another post. 🤣. Again, balance and reason reign. Well told, brother. 🌹😄

I just can't bring myself to feel romantic about war, no matter how chivalrous the soldier is. Delusion definitely sums up Raina's need for a reality check over romance.
