This post got me thinking about music back in the day. Around 1976 a new radio station started up in Chicago. My brother Jim and I were working for my dad taking motors apart. Horrible, messy job. I had a new cool radio. It had short wave, weather with am/fm. We were working outside and messing with the radio, I came across the new radio station playing rock music. We lived 90 miles from Chicago at the time. It was one of my fondest memories to listen to music commercial free for a month. The only interruption was an occasional break to let listeners know the station.

Times change, but opinion does not always.

Good Afternoon

FSI, I like all kinds of music, so I can usually find something I can listen to.  I hope you have a great Friday.  There were a couple of good stations that I liked, but they are gone now.

Rock music like everything else has changed for the worst in my opinion. Thankfully, I enjoy most music, so I listen to country, pop and rock. Pittsburgh has a station that plays everything from the 60s, 70s, 80s along with the new stuff, so I am normally tuned into BOB 96.9 FM when I am driving.
