Taps, I'm just like you. I have Vicks sitting right next to my computer. I've used it my whole life. My Grandma always used it too.

Well I do know that a gipsy once said he ate it on bread to fix a cold.
That sounded a bit drastic to me. Perhaps it was spread very thinly.
I might rub some on my chest tonight, I think the pollens irritate at times.
Now don't try and consume it. Try a drop of Whisky instead 🌺

We did not use Vicks Vapor Rub. But I know my cousins used it. I have never heard of anyone using it on their feet. I know one thing: many of the old remedies have worked for years. Without a prescription.

No booming, crashing or flashing here in Pittsburgh. I had enough of that two weeks ago to last me a while. My mom always turned to Vicks Vapo Rub when I was a kid. Before bed, she would rub it on my chest and the bottom of my feet and then cover them up. It worked magically.

I grew up with Vicks as a staple for when we were sick. And I got sick a lot! I didn’t know that about inhaling the vapors but I think I’m going to get some Vicks now. Thank you.

Well Taps years since we knew a lot of gypsies , real oldies and they said if they had a cold they ate vick on some bread. It makes me shudder to think of that. I know Mother would rub it on our chests and I have a pot which I occasionally sniff for old times sake. 🌺

That is so true......LOL. And the best thing about it is that it is a link to remembering and feeling close to my darling mother. She was something special....so hard working, so sweet, so fun. She would dig her "roaring twenties" dance dress out of her old trunk and do the Charleston for us when we asked. Vicks vapors is the memory of her.

If it's a trusted remedy you remember, just your faith in it will help you, even if the menthol & etc. aren't as effective these days as they used to be.
