My grandsons went to a school that was greater than 50 percent "minority." They didn't grow into an environment where a racial difference was a difference. It was such a welcome and refreshing trend to see. Acceptance and tolerance should be taught from the very start. It's not that hard to do. I wish more parents had taken responsibility for that, regardless of race.Â
