The Canterbury Tales have been a favorite of mine since Senior English in high school. The wife of Bath stuck with because she got away with stuff that seemed against the grain. Lol

That is one heck of a way to gain sovereignty over a husband. Considering his age and mentally, I'm surprised that he kept his promise once he seen she wasn't dead.
