I love lilacs. I love their smell. They so remind me of our home when our whole family was alive and well and Chipper, our golden retriever was a very important part of our family. Chipper loved the lilac bush as well. She loved crawling under it on the hot days. She wouldn't go inside if the boys were outside.

I remember how the weather in the Springs can change on a dime. I hope you get a dishwasher that works soon. Mine has not worked properly for a few years but I use it on the only date cycle it can do - express wash.

I like the idea of using the dishwasher as a drying rack. Kudos. I know it's hard, but when I rented I felt like it was one of the reasons I rented to not pay for repairs. You seem to have a great relationship with your landlord and I appreciate your take on the appliance being on its last run. I believe he will do right by you!

Wow! This weather is crazy. Mother Nature really needs to take her meds. We had a new dishwasher installed when we bought our house two years ago. Thankfully, Lowe's has really good deals on them. Good luck shopping, and enjoy your day.

I am, sure that a dishwasher would cause me more aggro than joyfulness.
I have just remembered a problem. When the central heating is on the water is red hot. I just hold the dishes, etc., under hot water, sprinkle with a soft detergent, brush if necessary, then finally swill with cold water. Yes you might say but what do you do when the hot water heating bis not on. Well, I cannot remember, but I am working on it.🌺
