Shortly after midlife it became harder to catch a full 8-hours' restful sleep, what with getting up for a potty break and the wakefulness that followed. These days a night's sleep is actually a series of 2- or 3-hour naps.

I guess we would all like to have eight hours oblivion. When one becomes older it is a job to not keep nodding off. One has to mobilize oneself and stagger on to the next job.
I keep telling my Sister not to keep falling asleep. She says she cannot help it and of course
she cannot sleep very well at night. She is only ninety, but won't listen to advice.

A restful full eight hours of sleep is so underrated. I can't remember the last time I slept through the night without tossing around like a rotisserie chicken. If you find out the secret, please let me know.
