Sadly, when it came to technology in the classroom, it became more about keeping up with the Joneses rather than trying to figure out how to properly implement it.

In my previous days as a school administrator I served several years on the curriculum committee. I can tell you that implementing technology is not an easy task. The K-12 articulation has to be done with utmost care. We don't want students left behind especially in this day and age. That is why I agreed with the point made in the article that opting out would not be a choice. Better ways need to be incorporated to help all students.
