Amen to that. In years past, I was blind to the signs. Good for you.

Our priorities do change in our lives. As a kid, the arcade was the be all and end all for me. Now? I do not know where any arcades are.

Good Morning

BearcatMike, I love this post.  I was just thinking the other day that I wish I had the energy I used to have.  In a day, I would work, wash clothes, make dinner, spend the evening with my kids, clean the house, go to bed at 11:30, get up and start again, and then go out on the weekends.  I could not do all of that in one day now.

Our bodies change with each decade. I choose to exercise so I can enjoy each new decade as it comes. I'm fortunate to be able to go to my daughter's salon every day. I don't have a paying job, by choice; it's more important to have a reason to get up and get going every day. I'm not much for movies but I love my sports teams! The Lord directs us and so I look for signs regarding what he would like me to do. He does show me ways I can make a small difference that could lead to big things as he collectively brings many people together.

I  was very sad, the girl was hoping to marry grew frustrated because I was helping my Father who had let me borrow a huge sum (in those days.) He had a small business and he was slowly dying and I had to decide.

I have to laugh. We have lived parallel lives...except for the looking for women. Back in the day, before marriage, I headed to the dance club after work. I lived in a military town during my single years, and the club was always packed with Navy guys on det at our base from other states. These days, I am happy to stay home and enjoy a good movie and a good night's sleep. However, when it comes to meals, I do enjoy cooking. I actually find it therapeutic. I missed my calling. I should have been a chef. Maybe in my next life. 👩‍🍳
