My daughter works with Ancestry. Com as well. There are many interesting things in family trees. We had a soldier who fought in the Civil War but was killed when visiting a neighbor over a domestic dispute. He was shot while sitting at the kitchen table. Survive the war and be killed by a stray bullet, how utterly weird and unfair!

A wonder you have not been fighting with yourself. I suppose wars introduced partners who would not have met normally.

I have always enjoyed researching genealogy. Ancestry.com blew my mind once I read my DNA results. Up until a few years ago when my brother gifted me the DNA kit, I was told that I was German and Native American. I am 0% indigenous. I am 62 % English, 18% Irish, and 7% Scottish. I am only 7% German. The remainder of my DNA origins was Netherlands and France. I covered most of the UK from Southeastern and Northwestern Europe and Northern Wales and Northwest England. The thing with Ancestry.com though is that they continuously do updates with the DNA results. My French connection didn't show until a year ago.
