The shoo-fly pie is popular around these parts. It's similar to a pecan pie without the pecans. Shoofly pie has wet and dry-bottom varieties. Dry-bottom shoofly pie is similar to coffee cake with the addition of a thin layer of molasses along the bottom crust. Wet-bottom shoofly pie is quite different, with a texture similar to a pecan-less pecan pie.
