Welllll, for a super-rare splurge, a waffle with whipped cream and strawberries on top sounds good. French toast is another rare splurge, maybe once a year for those. I usually have a simple small amount of wheat toast with a nut butter on it and berries for breakfast - with coffee that has 2% milk and a half teaspoon of raw sugar. I love eggs or omelets, too. Just picky about what goes in them but artichokes are good.

Good afternoon
Ciel, since I've been going to the dentist, I've been having soup for breakfast. It's the easiest thing to eat. I'm still getting used to my bridge. The dentist tells me it will take time to adjust to it. It's getting easier. My cholesterol is in the normal range, but I eat very few eggs or meat because years ago it was high, and it took a long time to get it down to normal. I'm okay with not eating much meat because it's not my favorite food group. My son-in-law has to have meat at every meal. I do like waffles, and toast is good, and I like fruit. I have no problem with sugar diabetes, so I'm very thankful for that. I hope you have a good day.

Re: Sherri G,
I broke traditions today with a slab of extra-sour sourdough spread with avocado, thin slices of sweet onion--did you know, the flatter the onion, the sweeter/less bitey it is?--some smoked salmon and a light squeeze of lemon!

Good morning. Your mom is obviously a fan of breakfast choices. Thank you for the tip on oatmeal. I love oatmeal with fruit or cinnamon and sugar. My triglycerides are through the roof according to my latest lipid panel. I don't normally eat breakfast, but when I do, my go-to is a breakfast sandwich that includes a scrambled egg, sausage patty, and a slice of cheese on a toasted English muffin.
