I get a fair amount of charity mail as well. A lot of them still have my grandmother, who passed away in 2010, as the addressee. Once you're on the list, you don't get off of it apparently.

Perhaps you are on a list that requests donations because you gave so generously. I do like the self-stick envelopes the best. Be careful with your donations.

Once you are kind and give it seems you inundated with more requests. I often wonder how much good these charities actually do. There is no public accounting of their records that I am aware of. Just give what you can if you are compelled to do it.

If I donated to every charity that sent appeals to my mailbox, I'd be sending more than my house payments on them. I've asked several of them to stop contacting me, but they keep on sending them anyhow. I've tried refusing them and marking envelopes "return to sender." It doesn't seem to work. It's not that they're not worthy, or that I think scams are involved - it's just that my fixed income just can't handle my own needs and theirs as well.

Jim had several charities he always helped, the main one was an indigenous orphanage. I let them know he had gone but they are still coming and of course heaps of election begging as well.

The charities I give to are to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and the Wildlife Reserve. There are just too many of them to give to all.
