The most important thing for me is to get enough sleep that includes deep sleep of an hour and a half. I try to go to bed and wake up in a consistent pattern to protect the circadian rhythm. I wish you all the best with the different sleep pattern you have from years of working different shifts!

Some of that for me is finding myself alone. I sleep too long into the morning sometimes now. I sometimes am asleep between say 6.00pm and 9,00 pm, wake up read. Then I may not sleep again until daylight when I get a couple of hours or maybe lunch time. Graysome pussycat used to wake me but he is old and loves to sleep.

I hope you can rest up today. I have always thought that’s it’s hard to be a night person in a day world. I did not work night shift but I could never change my night owl preference.
