Dealing with leftovers is a task... sharing with animals, birds is the best way out.

I am learning about English Manners. I would have put the meat in the freezer. Mashe Potatoes would have gone in the disposal. I am from the south. Food is always given in large quantities.

Re: Re: Sea Gypsy
Yes, I understand. I was brought up with the use of English politeness. It’s not a bad thing at all. 😄🌹

Re: Sea Gypsy
No it is fine but more suitable for a family. Of course to add to the way of English politeness I have to ring up and distribute a dishful of praise. 😊🌺

Re: CCT
Lo Taps well I have Walnuts and I'll get a jar of New Zealand honey Manuka it is quite expensive so I will only buy a gallon. Only joking. No a small pot. I have a jar of pickled walnuts we had three large trees they are still there it would give me the brain fog if I lived in the houses near them🌺

Re: Ciel
People are so easy to please if one just says . 'That was something else.' No dog I find it too painful when it dies. The trouble is folk stop feeding the birds, not as though there are many about. The rats climb up the bird tables at night and are disappointed. They don't like the smell of cats or they would soon be unwelcome visitors. 🌺

I find that when it comes to older spouses or for that matter older siblings, a lot of attention is placed on the surviving one. I imagine a lot of that stems from others being concerned that grief will envelope the surviving one.

There are times when people do too much but at least it's in a thoughtful way. Good luck with sharing it in the future because I doubt the portions will decrease!

You might ask her to bring you smaller meals.
Cats can be very particular with seasonings. Maybe you need to bring in a dog. Dogs will eat about anything!🐶

you will have the local birds and small animals coming to see what the offering is if there is always a little left for them.

That's a shame you have no appetite. At least your food wasn't completely wasted. The animals love leftovers. I'm sure they appreciated chowing down on your dinner.

Good evening
Well, I'm not sure what you should do, but if you don't want to finish the meal and the cats don't want it, I would toss it. I hope you have a good night.

I know that you know all about English walnuts these days because you are English and you are a smart cookie. "They" (whoever they are) are saying that if you combine English walnuts and pure honey together and eat a helping every day it will make brain fog go away. I could use more clear thinking going. Do you know if there is anything to that?

L’ordine! If the cats won’t eat it, not sure you should either! It’s a kind gesture but I imagine you know what foods you like. 😃🌹

Making good use of leftovers is almost a science in itself. Sharing with the furry and feathered friends is often a good way to avoid waste. Better to let it go, it seems to me, than to put on extra weight.
