Very interesting. Animals are far more caring and intelligent than they are given credit. Kudos to Lulu!

fabulous story and yes They are very intelligent.

I had one pig and she had two litters of babies a year for me. As they grew i would ween them and feed them just grain and then sell them before her next babies came. She was my pet and loved me. I could do anything with her and she was happy. I would sneek a long neck ot Dad's beer supply, she loved beer !

All those common notions of what pigs are like are not even partially true: Pigs, given the option, prefer to be clean. And they're proven to be on a par with dogs in terms of intelligence. I like pork, but the more I've learned about pigs, the less I choose to eat them. Sigh... no more bacon for me...!

Re: Lol, that's funny, FSI. My sister's mom had one that stayed indoors.

They are cute, but I will stick to visiting the pigs at the farm up the road. 🐷

My sister wants a pet pig. My mother says no.

Dog the Bounty Hunter had a pig. On his show, one of his sons would not go near it, saying, "The only way I'm going near him is if he's on the kitchen table with an apple in his mouth. Dog was not amused.
