Good Morning

There was a teen boy in our village who had everything going for him, or at least that is what everyone thought.   He had a loving family, was getting ready to graduate from high school,  was going to college in the fall, and belonged to a rowing group that he loved.  He was dating a very nice girl, and he was tall and very good-looking.  One day, he took a gun and ended it all.  To this day, nobody knows why he did it.  We were all heartbroken for the family.  I will always have questions.  I will never understand what happened.  In our beliefs, we are not supposed to take our own lives.  That brings up a lot more questions that I have no answers for.

Re: Sherri G,

Suicidal tendencies are all in the heat of the moment; one can never plan that tomorrow at 9 am I’ll commit suicide. Then, it’ll never happen. But you’re right. The who try analyze so complex a phenomena can not and do not understand the intricacy or even the why or how of it.

As the daughter of a father who committed suicide when I was 15, understanding suicidal thoughts is something I have attempted to dissect for decades. Wilted rose
