Both are lovely names. It's hard to choose but I slightly favor Emily Ann over Elizabeth Ann. It may depend on how they wish to use her first name and middle name. Elizabeth Ann gets more complicated in that there is Lizzie Ann, Lizzie, Lisabet, Liz, Beth, Betty, Beth Ann (pretty), Betty Ann and so on and so forth. With Emily Ann it's a bit easier. One of my girls' middle name is Ann and the other's middle name is Elizabeth!

Good Evening
Sam444, I like the name Emily, but whatever your daughter and her husband pick, I'm sure it will be beautiful. I love to hear how excited you all are for the baby. I hope everyone was all smiles today. Enjoy your evening. We've had terrible storms here this evening. Our tornado sirens were going off, and the storms came through with high winds, trees down, and flooding. Thankfully, our area was okay. They showed one tree that came down on the west side, which was huge. The tree roots were so big it pulled up the whole tree lawn. I've not seen anything like that before.

I love the name, Emily. Everyone I have known with that name was such a nice person. I like that it is a solid, common name that is not overused. Names are important. But not as important as the person who bears it. As a parent, it is your choice, and nobody else's.

Emilie Anne appeals to me the most. The names are both lovely though but Ada has no appeal for me at all between you and me!

My eldest is named Anne Elizabeth, a name of grace and boldness, and I loved the nickname Annie after Annie Oakley, my favorite tv show when I was 5, and then there was Annie's Song by John Denver.
My second daughter is Marika, after two songs, one Flemish, the other Irish. Her middle name is Sky just because I liked it!
Emily is a sweet, homey name just enough old fashioned to be romantic. Charlotte is another one like that.

There are way too many beautiful baby girl names to choose from, making it a difficult choice. Some people name a baby after their ethnic background or after their grandparents. It is a tough one for sure. Elizabeth Ann doesn't grab me much, but Emily is really pretty. Since you mentioned the middle name Ann, Annalise would be a pretty name for a girl. There is also Emilia instead of Emily. I wish her a lot of luck with the final decision.
