I enjoyed spring break a lot when I was in college. Just being home away from the pressure cooker was great to me.

yes take her out to lunch or dinner and a quiet walk through the park etc. She will love that time together.

It does sound as though you have sussed it out and have your priorities in the right order. Hopefully you will enjoy the break. Keep smiling.

Enjoy your well-deserved vacation. Catching up on overdue things is a great way to spend those days off. Our vacation is next month. We plan to spend some quality time at the beach in Presque Isle, and get our gutters, soffit & fascia boards replaced on the house. Fun!

I'd suggest you share joyful time with your wife as the first priority. It will spin off ideas you can use in your writing, and it will deepen your connection. The week's break is a gift.
