I have no idea as to why cursive was removed from the school curriculum when you consider that a signature is required on most legal documents.

Good Evening
Sherri, when I saw this, all I could think was this is just another example of the times we live in now. I still can't believe my grandkids don't know cursive. If Caeser goes to the store for me, I have to give him a printed note because he can't read a handwritten note. I wonder what the reason was for taking away what I would have called writing back in the day.

I would say that it has to do more with the fact cash can be programmed into the register...Counting backwards has become a lost art.
