It was a bit surprising that better vetting wasn't done but who knows what they were thinking?

RE. Pat B

First of all, great post. I also heard about the Bachelorette. I was glad they did not dismiss the behavior because of gender. Domestic violence is often overlooked. Victims' scars last a lifetime. As you so beautifully explained. Like you, I find it hard to believe that you can find lasting love from a T.V. show. As you pointed out, lasting love is not always poetic. It requires sacrifice and great effort.

Good Morning

I have never watched the Bachelorette show.   I think these shows are silly.  As far as I'm concerned, life doesn't work like this.  At least I've never experienced anything like it.  I've seen reports that the show is being cancelled because of what happened.  I hope you have a good day.

Sadly so called love does tend to blind . I have seen young men occasionally punch or push an intended  partner. It it did not foretell a loving relationship.  🌺🌺

Well, I hope that John and I make it to sixty years, God willing, but we did manage to make it to forty years come April 19th. On another note, I am not a fan of the bachelor and bachelorette shows. I find it to be one of the worst possible ways to find a soulmate. I have also experienced domestic violence at the hands of a stepfather and a short-term relationship with an ex-husband, and you are right in that you never forget. Thankfully, my marriage the second time around has been a blessing. Happy first day of spring to you! 🌷
