Re:

BearcatMike, I would have to say it was most likely not because of Friday the 13th that your garage door wouldn't open.  I'm glad you found a way to get into the house, and thankfully, your power came back on.  I hope you have a good day!

It's funny that you should bring up power outages. Yesterday, when I was leaving work. I was talking to one of my coworkers about Friday the 13th. Yesterday, I told her that I don't believe the myth that it's an unlucky day. Then my wife calls me on my way home and tells me that the garage door won't open. We seldom carry the house key. It was due to a power outage. Anyway, we found a way to get into the house. And not long afterward, the power came back on. Have a great weekend.

Re:

Sam444, I have my heart set on getting a generator, but I have to find a way to pay for it.  I'm always having things fixed or replaced in the house, but I really want a generator.

Re:

Kabu, you are right, there's trouble everywhere.  This war is worrying me.  I hope you have a good night.  Stay safe!

Re:

Pat, I think the grocery stores are really struggling because of the price of food and gas.  We kept our power, but a lot of people were not so lucky.  Trees are down all over the place.

Re:

Sherri, we didn't lose power, which I'm very thankful for, but a lot of families did.  There are trees down everywhere, and they are blocking the roads.  The wind got up to 85 miles an hour.  Some places lost roofs too.  Technology is taking over, and that is not good.  I hope you have a good night.

I've looked at the generators inthe past. When I sell my house I'm hoping to buy one when I move to Michigan due to the things you are experiencing now. I do hope your power doesn't go out. It's nice you have back up of it does go out. I have one large power bank and two small ones for charging. I keep them at 100%. Good luck with the impending weather!

Trouble brewing all over the world and only last year everything was fine.

The issues at your grocery store sound like a prelude to possible bankruptcy / closing up entirely. It's part of the pressure on the economy and doesn't seem to be getting better. I hope your power stays on and the storm causes no serious problems there.

We have a wind advisory, but it is sunny and warm. I hope you don't lose power. In the twelve years we have lived in our home, we have only lost power one time. If technology continues on the fast-paced path that it is currently taking, people will be replaced by robots and machines. Stay warm and safe and try to enjoy your day.

Re:

FSI, our cans fell over twice, and that got picked up, and finally, the recycling truck came.  Now there is only one can left to be picked up.  I hope you have a good day!

I am holding my breath with my trash cans, too. I don't fee like searching for them.
