- Go to We All Had Our Favorite Toy; Mine Was a Wealthy Doll with Several Careers
A delightful post... brings back so many memories from my daughters childhood.... they collected barbie dolls & the various accessories available in the market.
I had a big doll.... a relative got from abroad.... It opened & shut it's eyes.... I carried it everywhere. My mom got different dresses stitched for my doll.

Re:
I love Barbie, too. I also had Skipper, PJ, and Ken. I played with them for hours.

My daughter has all of her Barbies from Childhood. She is a collector. I believe she has more than 200 Barbies in her collection. She has quite the dilemma now because her changing room/Barbie display room will become the nursery! Sorry Barbie. I'm telling her that you have the original Barbie. She'll be excited for you but gleefully envious at the same time. I have been getting her the 12 days of Barbie each Christmas. Also, the dia Los Meurtos since they came out in 2019. Growing up I spent my money on baseball cards. I had a phenomenal collection worth thousands but my parents tossed them when I went to college. Suffice it to say I have never truly recovered.

I am thinking that it is still most little girls dream to have at least one Barby. Your collection is fabulous.

Good afternoon
Sherri, I love Barbie. I had so many different ones and I had Skipper and Ken. I’m not sure how many times Barbie and Ken got married. They were big events. I had houses, furniture, clothes, and cars. I loved playing with them.

I'm nine years older than my cousin Amanda. It was funny. When she was a toddler, I asked her what she wanted to do. She said play Barbies. I told her no. She looked at Grandma and said, "Make him play Barbies."
"That's not for his age, Dear," Grandma said.
