Re:

FSI, thanks!  I'm not sure what a bidet is.

Re:

Sherri, I hope you had a good day.  Today we had some more work done on the house.  I love our upgrades.  I hope you have a good night.

With the new toilet (congrats by the way) I recommend a bidet if you already do not have one. They are awesome.

I can relate. Our home was built in 1910. One upgrade usually leads to another. A new toilet that sits higher up is smart. It is hard enough trying to get up from a low spot as is. Enjoy your new bathroom essentials and your day.

Re:

Kabu, I know you and Jim did put a lot of work into your house.  Mr. Graysome loves the 4-season room.  I'm not sure what you are going to do, but I wish you the very best.

Re:

CCT, I'm glad that there is no chance your house could flood.  I think most houses creak as they get older.  I hope you have a good night!

My house is 40-50 years old and it is beginning to make funny noises. It is the floor boards. In those days the build was two bricks making a cavity, but the bottom floor boards are raised over the soil. I have actually seen water under houses built on land that flooded at times. I am lucky I'm a over an old stone quarry so no floods. Of course at times The boards have been taken up for different reasons and  creak at times. Now a days houses have a layer of cement on the base. but appear to have one brick and an insulation board which is suppose to be warmer.

Re:

Sam444, I was lucky that I had family do the actual work but I have to do it when they are available but I still had to pay for all the supplies.  I’m so thankful the work is done.

My daughter has an older home and you are correct on trying to update one thing usually creates another project. She redid her entire kitchen but she is very fortunate because her brother is a licensed contractor and did the work for change essentially. It save her thousands of dollars. At that time he switched out a toilet in my master bedroom plus laid flooring in it as well my kitchen. I didn't have to pay home but I fed him very well. Lol
