Re:
BearcatMike, how old is your granddaughter? I think it's wonderful when the grandkids are close. I think it's great that your Mom makes quilts. It is something I never learned to do. I hope you are doing well. It's raining here.

I don't blame you for putting it off. Organizing a cluttered closet is not fun. Since you mentioned snow, I decided to look at the 10-day weather forecast for my area. I'm not seeing any snow, but then you are 3 1/2 hours NW of Elizabeth. Hopefully it will pass your area by altogether. I'm sure that Sadie loved her day at camp. Have a good day and enjoy your book.

My Granddaughter just moved in with us about 3 months ago. We are still adjusting. She usually stays in her room. So it's like she isn't even here. Young folks, what can you do? My mother makes quilts. She constantly says that she should stop making them. Because she has so many. But she enjoys making and selling them, so I encourage her to continue. Have a great evening.

Re:
Sam444, thanks so much for the tips. I like them all. My favorite is one new item in and one old item out. I hope you have a good night.

My daughter donated items for years and about four years ago we decided to yard sales. Whatever is left over at the end of the sale we donate. The yard sales have been great motivators to get rid of items weren't using. We follow three rules, 1) if haven't used it in a year, toss; 2) haven't done anything with it in 90 days and won't in the next 90 days, toss: 3) this one is mainly for clothes, 1 new item in, 1 old item out. The most effective way I've used to cleaned something is the 15 minute approach. I set a timer for 15 minutes and chose an area and work on it until the timer goes off. I hope these will help.
