I like to take a can of chicken and rice soup, add the juice of a lemon and then when it's boiling, stir in some beaten egg. Suddenly--Greek avgolemono soup! Your add-ins sound perfect! I rarely leave a canned soup un-altered!

Sounds perfect. I enjoy adding new things to old recipes to increase the flavor and surprise the taste buds. Thats why we always look for new dishes.

It sounds as though your improvised recipe is working.  If it's as tasty as your verses, you have a nice, nourishing meal under your belt.
