I know what you mean. My son-in-law's truck is nearly as much as their mortgage payment. Such a tough decision.

I think about what my grandparents paid for their houses back in the day. Who would have thought that vehicle prices would exceed what they paid?

Well a semi-detached house near me was for sale at 370 thousand and sold for 380 thousand a tiny garden. Once I could have bought a small thatched cottage for 150 pounds.
A taxis driver told me that he had to pay 23 thousand for a good secondhand taxi.
It does seem houses are the one thing to buy in your area.🦋

Good Afternoon
Sherri, we have the same thing here. Prices are crazy, and used cars are very expensive. I think everyone I know is looking for a car. I'm thankful my car is in good shape with few miles. Along with high car prices come high insurance prices. I really don't like high-interest vehicle loans. Anything could happen at any time to anyone, including losing their jobs, and then what will they do? I think I'm too practical.
