I knew about the black teeth trend. I can only imagine how bad their breath must have been. 
That is interesting about the tomatoes. He was onto something. Being a nightshade fruit, tomatoes are packed full of vitamins and carotenoids, which are found to protect against cancer, inflammation, diabetes, and oxidative damage.
