I love Mac and cheese but not with Brussels sprouts. I burned some once. Yikes! The smell was awful! 🤣🌹

Good Evening

Oh my!  I can just imagine how bad the house smelled with the burned cabbage.  I'm sorry your dinner was ruined.  Maybe if you cooked in the morning and just heated up the food when you were tired.  Do you have a microwave and a crockpot?  It might make things easier.  My neighbor has Meals on Wheels come to his house.  They deliver food every day, and it's inexpensive.  He is 94, and it makes his life much easier.  Happy Valentine's Day!

Re: Sam

Yes I remember you did suffer badly with migraines. It is a blessing indeed to be rid of them. That was a real nasty.🌺

Re: Pat

We never liked cabbage when we were kids, I don't know why. Perhaps it was because Mother used to make us eat it and have Cod liver oil.🌺

Re: Kabu

The cleaning lady just does one hour a week she is cheap but I give her odd groceries that I cannot deal with. A week soon spins round I shall be glad when it dries up and I can get out there on the garden🌺

Re: Sherri

Fortunately it is stainless steel. Perhaps I have the house too warm, but not in this room where the computers are or it would be fatal. 🦋

Oh, no! That's a shame. Cabbage definitely takes on an unwelcome taste once blackened. I'm sorry that your dinner was ruined. Hopefully, you were able to save the pan. Sarcastic smile

I am sorry you burned the cabbage. You sound like us, always tired. I think you need your cleaning lady a bit longer staying and more often

Cooking when you're really tired and burning up your pots while cooking macaroni is not a good idea. But it makes a funny story.

I'm with you on burned food. About 12 years ago when I was at my worst with migraines i had noodles cooking on the stove. The pain so intense that I passed out and then awoke yo the smoke alarm going off. The water had boiled away and the noodles crispy black and my duplex rolling in black smoke. Luckily I did not burn the place down with myself in it!
