i think you would all enjoy my gravy. it is what is left in the baking dish after i have got rid of the melted fat. I swish water around in it and get all the tasty brown , add some sifted baking flour and heat it on the top of the oven. I stir it all the time but it only takes very little time. Tip it into a gravy boat and watch the family fight over it! it is a lovely brown and blends perfectly with the meat and roasted vegetables.

I never was too fond of biscuits and gravy, I preferred jelly. But my MIL made her gravy in the pan where she'd fried sausages, which brought it up a few levels, flavor-wise. There's something so comforting in southern cooking.
