Re:
Sam444, this cold weather is very hard when it goes on for so long. I usually don't eat the leaves on my fruit. I hope you have a good night.

There are great nutrients in strawberry leaves. I eat them because they have Vitamin C, iron, and calcium, often surpassing the fruit in nutritional value. They are rich in antioxidants, including polyphenols, flavonoids, and tannins, which provide significant anti-inflammatory, digestive, and immune-boosting benefits. They are tasty as well. I'm the only one in my family that eats them, lol. If the produce section leaves the leaves on fruits and vegetables I eat them because I know there's great nutritional value in it. I'm so sorry fir the cold weather. It's such a downer! Stay warm and try to keep your spirits up!

Good afternoon. It is warmer in Pittsburgh today, and tomorrow is supposed to be warm enough to melt our snow. I order some of my wildlife seeds and treats through them. Walmart is bad about not delivering orders when the weather is not to their liking. I like bananas, but it is a big no thank you to eating the peels. 🍌

Banana peels, which have been exposed to all kinds of contaminants between picking, shipping and displaying at the store: No Thank You! And if strawberry leaves were good to eat and good for you, they'd have been marketed decades ago. I'll pass on them, too. Now why can't someone discover that chocolate is a wonder drug that will keep you from looking old, improve your memory, etc.? That I could use.

Re:
Sea Gypsy, I'm not sure who writes these articles, but I'm sure I won't be eating banana peels. I hope you are doing well and have a good day.

Hope it warms up some more. Ve careful with bananas peels. I read that bananas have to be sprayed with more insecticide than others fruits because they are so susceptible to pests killing them. Or course, organic bananas are free of that worry. I think the article goes a bit too far for saving money. 😄
