When we're young we have a different attitude regarding subjects. I agree on the a subject not being of interest doesn't get full attention.

It is a problem if one has no interest in a subject. Worse still, if some nutter thinks you should have.

Those were not my best subjects in school, but then I had no interest in either of them. Algebra is as far as I can go in the math department. I only know a few people who are really good at geometry and chemistry. My brother-in-law is a chemist who works for a company that researches and tests cures for cancer, and my hubby deals with both subjects daily, working in the water treatment plant at the mill.
