It's interesting. There was a high school teacher back in the 1970s who flipped out when the San Francisco Giants raised their hot dog prices by a nickel because the new wrapping requirement necessitated it, according to the team. He was able to scientifically show that had no effect and was able to get Parks and Recreation, which approved or rejected prices, to hold firm.

Good Afternoon

Sport tickets continue to rise like crazy. I agree with you, it takes away the fun. I remember listening to baseball on the radio as a child. I love the Big Red Machine. The Cincinnati Reds in the 1970's. Sports are big business today. Supply and demand. Yet we still keep paying what they ask.

Sports events are far from cheap, but even though they run about $2,000-$3,000, season tickets are the way to go if you are a big fan.

Good Morning

Sam444, I'm so glad you get to go to the game in August.  I'm surprised by the high prices to attend a game.  I look forward to hearing about the game when you go.  I hope they win.  I can barely imagine how much it would cost for a hot dog and a drink.  I understand that to get good players, they have to pay them a lot of money, but in my opinion, things are getting out of hand.  I think what bothers me the most is the parking fees.  Do they really need to charge that much money?   I wonder what they use the parking fee money for?  I'm excited for you to go.  I've never been to a baseball game and it sounds like it would be so much fun.  I'm not a drinker but I would want to get a beer just so I could say I had a hot dog and beer at the game.  I'm silly I know.  When we have games downtown a lot of people take the rapid because traffic gets crazy if there's more than one event on the same day.  I love sports.  Sorry about the long comment.

It’s all way too expensive to attend a game! Everything is about the almighty dollar. At least the Coliseum was free to Romans. However, seating was assigned according to class.

It is crazy I agree. No wonder most people stay at home and invite friends in etc. Yet so often week after week after week the seats all seem to be taken.
