Good Morning
FSI, I took French for three years, and the last year was rough. I'm glad you ended on a good note. Of all the studying I did, I'm best at counting from one to ten. When it came to dissecting a sentence, it was not my strong suit.

I am so excited that you stwrayed with it. I can appreciate how difficult it can be. I just got a new doctor who has a French last name and I have been practicing it all day. I even looked up how to pronounce it correctly and when you are used to using the front of your mouth for English and French seems to use the back of the mouth, it's a chore. Writing it has to be a whole new ballgame due to the silent consonants. Kudos on the score, too!

No doubt that you had issues. According to Rosetta Stone, it takes 600-750 hours of practice to reach professional working proficiency in the French language. Arabic and Asian languages are the hardest to learn. The Complete List of Language Difficulty Rankings - Rosetta Stone
