Re: Kabu

I can only imagine how many challenging events you have witnessed as a nurse. My mother often shared stories of events she endured in the operating room. I don't know if I could have made it after witnessing tragedy. Faith in God is the only way I would have made it.

I remember years ago, I was working at night in an, 'all night' cafe mainly for trucks driving goods across Australia. One of the women came in to work, and she was laughing. said her second son had fallen across the kerosene heater. Most homes used them, they were cheaper than power. We asked if he was hurt. 'Oh yes' she said ,' Burned his face off.' We could only believe she was still in shock and were glad when the owner sent her home .

Horrible incidents can bring out the best and worst in people. I believe those who have a relationship with the Lord bring out the best in all facets of existence!

Even when there is no chance, sometimes God says otherwise.

Re: Excellent movie, Mike.

This was a really good movie. I enjoy movies of faith. John O'Leary had so many loving people in all aspects of his life that offered him the support he needed to heal. I teared up when Nurse Roy showed up at his speaking event. If more people had a supporting cast like he did, our world would be a much better place for it.

Thanks for the movie tip along with the synopsis. That boy has a hard and long road of healing ahead of him. I lost my paternal grandparents in a house fire in January of 1968. Fire scares me, so to learn more about it, I enjoy watching movies and series about fires and the people who risk their lives putting them out. 🔥

I will have to check out that story. Overcoming the odds is something I enjoy viewing in art.

Little boys and fire. There's always a danger.  Glad he survived.
