Re: Re: Re:
Sea Gypsy, we turn the outside spigots off from under the sink, disconnect the hoses, and put them in the garage until Spring. We have to do this every year. One house we lived in had radiators, but we now have hot water heat. We keep a contract in case something happens, the company will come right out. I don't want to take any chances. Our wind chills right now are -15. It's cold. All schools that I know of are closed.

Re: Re:
I remember that from when I was very, very small and we lived back east. We had radiators for heat. And the water would be left to drip as you said. Also something was done with the outside spigots or hoses or something. I’m not sure. I was no more than three. . 😄

Re:
Sea Gypsy, thanks so much. I turned the water on to drip in the sink. I don't want the pipes to freeze, and I opened up the cabinet doors. Thank you so much.

Re:
CCT, when we lived up in the mountains, we had to have chains on our wheels when we were going down the mountain. I don't remember having this much snow in a long time. I hope you have a good night.

Re:
Sam, yes, I actually have noticed having water first thing helps me. Thank you. I'm not coughing as much in the morning since I've been sick, but I am starting to get better. We do have a beautiful fireplace, but I don't use it. I would if I had to, though.

You guys are really getting hit hard by the weather. All I can say is that's it good you're staying in. I hope it gets better soon. Take care.

Wow! you keep having snow. It is funny 1948 it was as high as the hedges here. Some Americans were having a snow fight I don't know where they came from but to them it was a novelty. Not to me having to tighten the chains up on our van's wheels.🌺

I definitely don't miss those below-zero temperatures from my childhood. So glad you have a nice warm house. Enjoy the Holiday. Take Care.

So sorry for the bad weather. C'mon Spring! It's so nice to have a warm home. I have a gas fireplace and it gets my livingroom so toasty! Stay warm! Have you noticed a difference by starting your day with a glass of water?

Good Afternoon
FSI, these arctic and icy conditions are no fun at all. I hope you are staying warm!

Negative temperatures and windchills are no fun. Definitely a stay inside kind of day.

Re:
Pat, it looks like our roads are bad, so I'm glad we had sandwiches for lunch. This is definitely not a day to open the door. I think this may be another TV day wrapped up in a blanket. Stay warm! Pat, if you were here, I would make you a sandwich.

Re:
Sherri, I wish John luck at the doctor's. Thankfully your SUV is warm. When Tashie and Nadine are here, we usually do our nails. Board games are so much fun. We had our lunch meat sandwiches, and they were so good. I had roast beef, and Michelle had hard salami. It looks like someone had turkey too. We have the little bags of chips, and it looks like we are at a deli.

Sounds like challenging weather in Cleveland, too. It's not a day to open the front door and step outside on my street - the North wind is blowing directly at the house, and I had to use masking tape to keep it from slipping through the narrow gap between door and frame. Stay cozy.

It is definitely a stay inside kind of day, but John has a doctor's appointment, so off we go out into the freezing air. Thankfully, our SUV has an amazing heater, and we have no accumulation of snow as of yet. I love playing Clue and Monopoly, too. When the kids are visiting, I can usually get them to play a board game. We also enjoy playing UNO, Yahtzee and Scrabble. I wish we were there visiting. I'd partake in a board game with you. Stay warm and have a great day.
