Go to Life in the fast lane--where's the on ramp?

It is a nice memory, it could have been far worse. A good job your Mother had the contacts.
Women have always had tough times in the past. Some still do I suppose. The luckiest girls a few years ago had a baby and were awarded a house. It seems a wild dream now.🌺

A lovely story and a true story as well. I too had a female calf. She would see me running towards her and would sit right down so I could climb on her back and go for a ride.

So sad that you had to be placed away from your mom. I hope she recovered. This is such a sweet story about the cow with heart shape on it. Love it.

I'm sure that was a life changing event for everyone involved. Your poor mom must have been terrified as were you kids, who were forced to deal with the abrupt lifestyle changes. At least your farm days led to some positive experiences, and Sweetheart was a good name for a calf born with such a marking. 🐄

Good Morning
I think it was very sad that your Mom got sick, but thankfully, she found a nice place for all of you to stay till she could be back at home. I know you learned a lot that year living on the farm. I know some farms have Border Collies. They like to work. I think Sadie would love it. We have a lot of deer that live here on the property, and Sadie chases them if she gets a chance. She thinks it's her job.
