Re:

Sherri, I'm so glad you missed the storm.  Stay safe and warm.

It has been a while since we have received a super storm of snow in Maryland. I prefer it that way.

Good morning. Oh, wow! I heard that a storm was heading east, but we apparently dodged the superstorm. This has been a strange winter for sure, and I know it isn't anywhere near done with us yet.

Re:

Sea Gypsy, they are reporting that we've got two more days of these arctic temperatures.  I'm pleased to say that animal control is looking for dogs and cats that have been in the cold.  They bring them out of the cold.  They always have alerts saying if it's too cold for us, then it's too cold for them.  I think people should know that.  I hope you have a good day.

Re:

Kabu, thank you so much.  I learned something new yesterday when my emergency warning came across my phone, which was turned off.  I found that amazing.  It's so cold here that it's not safe to go out.

Re:

Sam444, thank you so much.  I'm thankful I don't have to go out unless I want to.  It's too cold for me.  We are toasty warm in the house, and that's the way Sadie and I like it.  These arctic temperatures are going to stay around for another two days.  The city opened 4 more warming centers for those who need them.  I'm thankful for that because I always worry about the homeless people.  I hope you have a good day.

Re: Re: Goldiec....

Taps, when the kids were growing up, I always had a house full and cooked every day.  Now I've come full circle, and I still have a house full.  I did have a juicer, and I always made juice for the kids.

Re:

CCT, it's true!  Sadie likes to look out the window.  She barks at everyone in the neighborhood.  She lets me know if anyone is coming up the drive.  I hope you have a good day.

I hope the worst is over by now. It's nice to have the resources you have do you don't have to go.out in weather such as your experiencing now. Stay warm, too!

That is one of the really good things about phones these days. There was a time when if one was on a land line phone could be gone for days.Stay safe and inside and take it easy all of you.

Re: Goldiec....

Being as how I only order food for myself,  it is a lot easier than it used to be when I had to cook and feed hubby and four sons and any and all company that we had quite often.    Now for drinks I only order Coffee (preferably Folgers Keurig Pods, and good tea bags.   I use whatever is coming out of the faucet to make them with.   I make other drinks out of what fruit and veggies I have in stock.  In fact it is time I got busy on making juices.

Re:

CCT, I had no idea my phone did not have to be on to get an emergency alert.  The authorities called the alert an imminent threat and critical.  I think those words are scary.

Goodness it is like we had many years ago. We only seem to get rain now. That was funny your phone giving a warning. I would not have been surprised if you had Alexa.

Yes little doggies probably prefer to look out of the window.  🤭
