I must read up about saffron, I used to try to grow the bulbs but they did not seem to like our soil. Once the pollen was used as a a valuable commodity. I guess it took a lot to make it so.🌺

I usually get my books from a store but actually I don't have many around me these days. I don't read or write like I used to.

I have had that happen with books and like you I document and ask for a better copy. Books are so expensive, a little more wrap would obviously save the company(ies) money in the long run. This such an exciting project!Â

Good Evening
Ciel, when I get my hair done, I never like it at first. It doesn't help that my hair is straight as a stick. I wish I had at least a little bit of curl. I have never made an artichoke. I wouldn't know where to begin. I hope you are staying warm. We are right in the middle of a snowstorm. Have a good night.

Mulching them is smart. I love crocus. Some of my spring flowers are budding above ground and the rest are peeking through the ground due the screwy weather. Artichokes are one of my favorites. I use them to make dip, and I also eat the inner leaves with a lemon mayonnaise aioli. Yum!

I think the mint I sprinkled around the porch rails is working. Not one chewed-up walnut hull showed up since the scent (said to be repugnant to squirrels) was sprinkled, even though it rained a bit last night. Hope your day is yummy.
