- Go to Education Year 3026
Good Evening
I have always loved English and can only hope that in the year 3026, students are still reading and learning the written word. I want students to be able to freely express themselves and write books. When I was in school, they gave us tests, and they said I would make a good proofreader but not a good writer. It turns out they were wrong because I've been writing and having my work published for many years. I would like teachers to encourage students.

I believe I was blocked by poor teaching skills or as in the case of my years in Boarding school, teachers with no training at all.

I read an article years ago that said if Benjamin Franklin were to appear, he would recognize the educational system. It hasn't changed much since the beginning.

I have always learned new things by using the hands-on approach. Interaction in the classroom with the teacher, books, subject matter, and other students to me is relevant for socialization skills, routines, supervision, and learning in a community environment with people of similar ages and interests.

It might help to find practical applications for the knowledge gained, make it useful to the students who are making their way in the world.
