Ooh that doesn't sound good about your hand. How about wearing a glove with the fingers left free.

My goodness it feels like one thing after another. I am so sorry you had to start over on the crochet. My heart sunk when I read that

Ciel.....
Hate to hear of problems arising in your work. I can't imagine anything stopping you from doing what you love to do.

What a difference geography makes when it comes to the weather. Your trigger finger is acting out just like tennis elbow or carpal tunnel does when overworked. I had the elbow issue for some a while, but it has gone away over time. Pain from inflammation is the worst. The small ball stretch worked for me by holding the ball tight, then releasing it and holding my hand face down, palm flat. Good luck to you. Stay warm.

Having your 'trigger finger' give you fits is a sign that it's time for a break. Always surprises me when I'm sittin' and crochetin' and my fingers begin to complain. Time for a little sip of coffee, a little nibble, maybe a brief check on the news on TV or a potty break. 😄
