At least he owned up to it and that says a lot.i think he wanted you to be a good far sooner than you were ready. We do go through a variety of experiences when learning new things. I do hope you were not traumatized by this.

When I learned to drive my Dad sat on my left so we could switch quickly as I was only fifteen.
