Good girl and I will rake this to heart as well. Thank you for the honesty and we will probably all benefit from you.

I've fallen a few times in the past several years and it is just about always a moment of lost balance that I was too slow to recover from. Everything slows down with age, but gravity is always gravity!

I remember when my golf instructor was in his 60s. He said he had a 64-year-old body and a 25-year old mind, and it was getting him in trouble.
I wish you well as you navigate things.

I think sometimes one does do things automatically. Once the senses would catch on immediately. I have fallen a few times or nearly fallen and just realized it in time.
It is said someone falls every second. I sometimes when walking think heal as the heal touches the ground .I did see that on the net so I don't know what to think.
Probably a Walker if one is outside.🌺

It does take some getting used to. Plus, which, when I go out the door I use a cane for balance. Slows down the thinking enough to focus on where the hurry-cane is touching down. I do miss the days when walking was automatic.

Oh, yeah. I share the same issue as you. My mind works much faster these days then my body can keep up with, leading to tripping, falling, stubbing my toe, and getting my purse or clothing caught on handles as I'm rushing by. When I was a kid, my mom used to call me Ethel Clutzmeyer. We have to be mindful of this and slow down for our own good. Getting old is rough on the body.

Good Morning
Taps, Thanks for sharing your post. I haven't had these problems yet, but I'm thankful that you posted this so I can pay more attention to what I'm doing.

I see that both Sea_Gypsy & Sam444...
gets my drift and are seeing what I mean using their own techniques. But I'm going to have to keep my mind staid on that subject as I've never really had to do that.

A good observation about yourself. I haven’t check myself on that same issue. I have a habit of pivoting mid-direction but worse, I step backwards to do that, especially in the kitchen. You know how to be careful so that’s key.

I think it takes the mind longer to realize the body is moving. When i stand up or get out of bed I pause for a few seconds so my brain a acclimates to the fact I want to move.
