We have a terrible job getting permission to take out a tree. Although sometimes they get too near to the house via roots. When houses were built here from bricks after stone houses which had stone slab floors. Most were then built of bricks, our last one was
but we are on an old stone quarry if one lifts the wooden floor there is bare earth beneath.
Around thirty years ago I noticed that new houses now have to have a concrete floor.😊

Re: Goldiec.....
Taps, I love your description of your Nativity Set. It's perfect. I always wanted a really nice Nativity scene, but I never did get one. I hope you have a good week. It's finally warming up!

Re:
Sam444, I used to send out about 100 cards for Christmas greetings, but now I only send out a few. This year, I sent out about 25 cards. I'm so excited Myles Garrett got the record. I'm really looking forward to warmer temperatures. I hope you have a good week.

Goldiec.....
Today I put away my favorite Nativity Set.....the one we had when my four boys were wee ones. They used to take the figures out of the set and play with them. One of the camels has a broken foot and two of the sheep have have no feet and short legs. But it is my favorite Christmas decoration.

I remember doing cards back in the day. I would send cards to all the students in my programs, my teachers and everyone associated with helping my schools run smoothly plus family. It would cost a small fortune to reenact that with today's prices.
I.saw Myles Garret got his sack but didnt see if he got the record.
Enjoy the great weather.

Sherri, I'm glad you will be watching the game from home. I love watching the game from home. I like to be sitting on the couch, covered up in my blanket, toasty warm. I would much rather watch the plays up close.

Re: Re: Yay! Nicely done. Go, Browns!!
Now I am crossing my fingers that the Steelers beat the Ravens. Baltimore has a good team, but their quarterback was hurt and is just now coming back from recovering. They have an amazing running back, so if the quarterback passes him the ball throughout the game enough times, they could pull off a win. Pittsburgh has the home field advantage, so it's 50/50. I'd hate to be watching the game at the stadium. It's 26 degrees. 🥶

Re:
Sherri, our Browns won, and Myles Garrett got his sack! We only won by 2 points, but we won!

I am looking forward to a warmer week. I have been wanting to get outdoors and walk. I'm happy to hear that your grandson is better. All of our Christmas decorations were put away on the 31st. We have been watching a true story drama movie on Netflix for the past hour while eating our Philly cheesesteaks. I definitely like them better with the yellow gooey cheese. Good luck with your team. The Steelers don't play against Baltimore until 8:20. It's going to be a long night. 🏈 Enjoy your day, and Go, Browns!
