Falls seem to be on the menu for older people. And needing help to get to your feet is just the cherry on top of the pie. I've needed help getting up - in fact my daughter called the EMT's after one fall. It's really embarrassing. I use a cane for balance these days. It helps.

Oh, that poor woman. I saw something like that happen once but the lady was very large and I could not help her get up. Fortunately her family was there and they were able to assist her.

Today was good. The Christmas decorations started to get put away, we got through another day of rain, I moved into my new computer and we went out for Mexican. Nice. Happy New Year.

I had a lovely day. My grandniece who is 3 1/2 had a salon day at my daughter's salon, wash, cut and style. It was adorable. To avoid spending unnecessarily at Michael's, I order online and do curbside-pickup,  lol. Which I did today! That must have been the reason I missed seeing you. Hahahahahaha. 🤫

Re: Sherri,

This lady would have struggled to get up on own and would likely have been very embarrassed by people driving by and watching her struggle. I didn't speak with her but could see she was very appreciative of Charlie's kindness.

This may be the year I finally stop eating meat. I don't eat pork anymore, and less beef all the time. I imagine chicken will be the last to leave my menu. I just hate how cruel the industry of meat production is!

It is not cheap to send packages. I'm still reeling over the price of stamps. It seems like just yesterday they were only .39 cents. It's a good thing you were there to help that poor lady. Not all falls are easy to stand up from without some assistance. I have started my new year out by cooking. Nothing unusual about that except that I have incorporated more veggies and I plan to start juicing again with fresh veggies. Michaels is one of the coolest stores to browse. It is the place to be when one wishes to stir up their creative side. 🎨

Re: Goldiec,

Sometimes youngsters just need that extra sleep to replenish body and mind. Drinking a lot of water is especially good for a body, too! Did he party hard this week?

Good Eveninging

Ciel, I'm glad your day got off to an early start.  I've spent the day at home.  I've been worried about Caeser.  He spent most of the day sleeping.  He did get up to have dinner, so I thought that was a good sign.  I know he's been drinking a lot of water. I hope by tomorrow, he's at least feeling a little bit better.  When I look out the window, it looks like we are snowed in.  There is a lot of snow outside.  I'm thankful we are warm in the house.  I look at Sadie and feel blessed that she is in the house, toasty warm.  I worry about all the animals at this time of year.  I'm so glad you got your gifts mailed off to where they had to go.  Happy New Year!
